Disney is Coming to Speak in October

Oct2013

Join AAF Jackson for the October Meeting @ Table 100 for a special presentation by Disney’s Yellow Shoes Creative Group!

ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS:
Matt Stewart, Art Director

Before joining Disney’s Yellow Shoes Creative Group, Matt had real jobs with the absence of pixie dust and fairy godmothers. He somehow still managed to find success in the industry we call advertising.

Over the last decade he has had the privilege to work on campaigns for Nestle brands like Coffee-mate and Hot Pockets as well as Old Spice, PUR, Disney Cruise Line, and Disney Parks and Resorts.

You can even find some of this work in places like the National Addys, HOW Design Annuals, Creativity Annuals and CA among others, but most importantly in the hearts of the loyal brand consumers.

After a fantastic public education Matt achieved a B.F.A. from the prestigious Arkansas State University. He currently resides in Orlando, Florida with his wife Shea, and his daughter Kendal. Ah Florida, where he can finally leave the top off his Jeep for extended periods of time.

John McCall, Writer

He’s got a degree from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, TN; mad copywriting skills from the Portfolio Center in Atlanta, GA; a lovely wife; three adorable kids and one sweet insulin pump. He’s John McCall––master of the barbecue and rabid fan of the Tennessee Volunteers. Go Vols. Thanks to his sense of humor, squishy personality and ability to concept giant projects in a single bound, John has found employment with ad agencies such as Mullen, Doe Anderson, Barkley and Partners and, most recently, Disney’s Yellow Shoes Creative Group. His work has led him from Wachovia Bank, Thomasville Furniture and Maker’s Mark Bourbon to all things Mickey Mouse. And has netted him mentions in Adweek and awards including National Addys, Graphis, How Design, One Show Online, and “Most Awesome Diabetic in Yellow Shoes.”

John lives in Winter Garden, FL with his aforementioned wife, Holly, their three young-uns and close to his tin can of a fishing boat, the “Blessir.”
